Administrator Posts: 958 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: November 15, 2007	From our very own Ben Zwycky of the old Writer's Dream site was the idea for a section called the Vault. What is it? Well here is what he informed the members of the old site: Quote: For those of you who missed this thread, this section of Writer's Dream is for work people would like to share with a trusted few here at WD for their feedback and enjoyment, but want it protected against plagiarism by passers by (e.g. something you are considering having published at some point). This thread is where you can request your own 'strongbox', a private forum where you alone decide who can read your work, and you will be moderator of all that goes on there. You can also request that a story, song or poetry thread where you are the sole author be moved to your strongbox. After making your request, an admin will create the relevant forum, permission mask and give you moderator status over your new forum, as well as creating an access request thread for that strongbox here. You must monitor that thread for requests for access to your work from forum members, they will only be given access by an admin if you approve it in the thread. Any questions? I personally added a few tweaks to it. I noticed that more and more people chose to use the Vault rather than share their work to the public. But now I am adding a bit more to the guidelines. For novels/short stories you must provide at least a 10,000 character teaser (there is a counter for you under the smilies so no need to fret) for people to read. Afterward you are allowed to inform people that the rest will be in the vault. For songs and lyrics you will only be required to share one out of three pieces of work to the public. This is only to keep the rest of the site active. Also, The Vault will not be available until you have either obtained fifty posts OR you have referred three members to WD.
