We always made mom worry about us, but we always returned safely. You gave me so many great memories that I will never forget. But do you know how many times you made me cry? When you left, you broke my heart. The addiction had taken full control of you. It had torn you from your family, and it had taken you away from me. You would come and visit, but I would never have my daddy back, not completly anyways. I will never forget the day you said you would come and pick me up and we could spend the day together. I got up hours before you were supposed to come get me, I made sure I had everything ready and I was all ready. I went to sit on the front step and wait for you. I wanted to be the first to see you, the first one to hug you and to tell you how much I missed you. I sat on that step for hours. I thought you were just late. Then my mom finally told me you weren't coming. I went upstairs to my bedroom and sat on my bed and I cried. It seemed like forever that I cried. How could you do that to your daughter? Dad how could you do that to someone you loved? After that day I learned not to get my hopes up when dad said he was going to come and spend time with me. What addiction can do to you. It doesnt just effect you it effects everyone around you. Everyone you love and care for, it just breaks their heart. My father broke my heart that day. (I hope the spelling and grammar isn't to bad.)

You put a lot of heart into writing this, and it shows. You should keep this up, and try to keep expressing how you feel with pieces like this. It may help someday.
